Rector’s Report
(Abridged)
We are in the 34th year of the establishment of All Saints’ Anglican Church and I am happy to
report that we are fiscally and spiritually sound.
As you can see from the statistical report, we were up in some areas and down in others.
Importantly, we ended the year with 92 active members.
I am confident, when we report statistics at the 2012 Annual Meeting, there will be significant
increases in the numbers for attendance, communions, and services.
During this year, we will strive to remain true to our Anglican heritage, faithful in our liturgical
worship, and strictly adhere to our theology as expressed in the 1928 Book of Common Prayer
and through the centuries of tradition of the Church in England.
2010 was a momentous year: we said good-by to Fr. Clanton as rector with the hope that he
would remain here during his retirement. Unfortunately, he and Ruth will be retiring to Alabama
to be near family. We wish them all the best in their retirement together.
With Fr. Clanton’s retirement, the Parish graciously welcomed a new rector, who, God willing,
will be instituted by the bishop in May of this year.
Change is good when it is tempered and the Parish is dynamic and receptive to change as
necessary.
We’ve experienced significant change in the last year and we look to this year as a year of
promise.
I have stressed so many times the Parish as a Family. Indeed, we are a Family in Christ. What
else could we be? We have been adopted by God, each of us; so we are brothers and sisters in
Christ, a Family.
And, as a family, let us work together to fulfill the potential of our Parish and grow together
spiritually, corporately, and personally.
God willing, we will grow as a Parish; we will add more services, more activities; and there will
be more opportunity for you to give to God’s service your special talents, skills, and abilities.
