It was the day of the dog as the Parish held its third annual Blessing of the Animals on the 4th in commemoration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. There was a token cat and a number of Parishioners in attendance to watch as each special companion was blessed and sprinkled with Holy Water. All-in-all, it was a congenial group much befitting the beloved Saint.
