The Rev’d C. Lance Davis, SSC
Vicar
Father Davis, a native of Augusta, Georgia, has served at All Saints since 2023. His academic training is rooted in historical theology and philosophy. He completed his undergraduate studies magna cum laude in Patristics and Philosophy at Oral Roberts University and went on to earn a Master’s degree summa cum laude in Biblical Studies, concentrating on the development and theological contours of historic English spirituality.
In addition to his theological education, Father Davis is a classically-trained pianist and organist. Prior to ordination, he served as organist and choirmaster at parishes in Tulsa, Oklahoma, New York City, and Augusta. His liturgical and scholarly interests converge in his work as the compiler and editor of The Anglican Office Book.
Father Davis was ordained a Deacon in November 2023 and to the Priesthood in November 2024. He currently teaches Latin and Greek at St. Andrew’s Academy in Lake Almanor, California. He also holds membership in several devotional and priestly societies, including the Society of King Charles the Martyr, the Guild of All Souls, the Society of Mary, and the Society of the Holy Cross.
The Rev’d George F. Alexander
Rector Emeritus
Fr. Alexander was made deacon in March 1988 by the late Rt. Rev. Tillman B. Williams, then bishop ordinary of the Diocese of the Southeastern United States, and ordained priest in May of the following year by the Rt. Rev. Herman O. Nelson, successor to Bp. Williams. Fr. Alexander was inducted into the Third Order of St. Augustine in 1983, serving briefly as Acting Prior General, following the death of Bp. Williams, to close the local Chapter.
During his time as deacon and priest, Fr. Alexander served as assistant at Holy Cross Anglican Church in Augusta; assistant at St. Barnabas in Aiken, becoming rector in 1996; then becoming associated with All Saints’ in 2000, and assistant there in 2003. In 2010, upon the retirement of the Rev. Canon Garrett Clanton, Fr. Alexander succeeded as rector until his retiring from the position in November 2025.
Over the years, Fr. Alexander’s career has included radio/television, spanning more than 20 years; 24 years of military service; three years as a director of mass transit; three years as executive director of the Aiken Area Council on Aging; and five years as a consultant in aging services and mass transit. He holds both Bachelor and Master degrees in Journalism, with post graduate work in secondary education.
Mr. Anthony Serrao
Choirmaster & Organist
Mr. Serrao began his professional career as a church musician at the age of fifteen. He studied Sacred Music and Piano Performance at Westminster Choir College where he had the privilege of performing choral music with several major orchestras. He completed his Masters Degree studies at Mannes Conservatory studying Historical Performance with a concentration in Harpsichord. Recipient of the Sylvia Marlowe Scholarship, he concertised extensively with a number of ensembles. His former teachers include Dr. James Goldsworthy (piano), and Arthur Haas (harpsichord). Mr. Serrao was director of music at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint James in Brooklyn, New York; a post he held for nine years. He has performed and lectured in the New York Metropolitan area for over ten years, and has composed music for everything from major liturgical events to popular YouTube content creators. An expert in early Christian hymnody and psalmody, he is also a specialist in medieval, renaissance, and baroque performance practice.
